Missions
“Freely you have received; freely give.” That is the mission Jesus gave to his followers in Matthew 10, and still gives to us, his followers, here. Freely we’ve received everything we have, right down to the very breath in our body. Out of that overflow of gifts, we give to others. We do this through weaving baby blankets and knitting hats for soldiers…sharing a meal and a home with families who’d otherwise be homeless…building a ramp for someone no longer able to walk…or mucking out houses after a hurricane. We do this knowing that we are all in need, and it’s our mission to be what each other needs.
